WWII Prisoners in Iowa, ISU Enrollment, and Homecoming Festivities at Ames High

 

Journalist Dennis Hart gives a weekly round up of Central Iowa news from the pages of the Ames Tribune and related area newspapers. 
 
Alex Fejfar, from the Ames History Center, introduces their upcoming "history talk" lecture about "Working with the Enemy; Four Prisoners of War in Iowa During World War II" about internment camps during that war.
 
Laura Doering, ISU Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Success gives statistics on enrollment at ISU this fall and a profile of the student body, including a record level of diversity, as part of ISU's mission. She describes from which countries most international students come from  Laura also describes how she is introducing new enrollment and student support management for helping students succeed..
 

Eric Smidt, new Director of School, Community & Media Relations, introduced himself and Ella Glen and Kelly Fredrick, the two Ames High School Seniors who are spearheading Homecoming Festivities at Ames High School and the downtown homecoming parade.
